The  Bayou  Classic  12  Qt  dutch  oven  comes  with  a  cast  iron  lid  &  a  perforated  aluminum deep fryer/steamer basket. Not  only  can  you  deep  fry  with  it  you  can  cook  a  pot  roast  in  the  oven. You  can  stew  a  chicken  or  steam  corn. Great  for  camping  or  scouting. The  lipped  lid  serves  to  hold  hot  coals  on  top  to  more  evenly  heat  the  pan  making  it  more  like  an  "oven"  inside. Can  be  placed  directly  in  a  fire  or  use  our  tripod  stand (Item # 7485) and  hang  your  dutch  oven  by  a  chain  over  the  fire. Must  be pre-seasoned.
